I absolutely love Sunday mornings. There is a sense of calm and peace and quiet that provides my soul with time to meditate and reflect without rush. It is such a beautiful and precious time to be honored. I wanted … Continue reading

To be honest, up until Christmas last year, I did not quite understand what Advent was. It’s a little embarrassing to admit considering I’ve been a Christian now for ten years. This year though, I was excited for this and … Continue reading

Here’s just a little bit of inspiration to start the week off!
I just just wanted to show off my favorite supporter!
I ran a 10k this morning. The weather was absolutely beautiful, my husband and daughter were both there, and the smell of ribs was in the air. This is only my second 10k to run and halfway through the race I wanted to stop. I started focusing on the other runners; how fast they ran, how slow they ran, their form, did they look as rough as I did.
I had to remind myself to run my own race. 1 Corinthians 9:24 says, “Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize”. That was my race and I had a goal time I wanted to make and I wouldn’t be able to reach my goal focusing on others around me. I then started to focus on my breath and I began to run the way I know how and I finished my race. Just like running after Christ daily to reach Him as my grand prize, I focused on my race and won my prize.
This week has been a struggle for me; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I have felt extremely complacent and if I’m being completely honest, I have felt downright joyless. I feel like complacency is a dangerous place for a Christian … Continue reading
